I am 4 years post total knee replacement surgery performed by Dr. Fox, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results! My range of motion is excellent, allowing me to do daily activities and exercise pain-free. I can extend my knee straight, and my knee flexion is equal to the other knee, which is 20 degrees GREATER than expected. Dr. Fox listens well and explained the knee replacement surgery in great detail. I knew I was in good hands. I continue to exercise and do most activities that I enjoyed before surgery. I don't want Dr. Fox's skill and effort to go to waste. I consider my knee replacement an asset. Everyone in the office has been great, also. I highly recommend Dr. Fox for his experience, surgical skills, and great personality.

Have been seeing Dr Fox & John for several years now and couldn't have asked for two better Doctors, I've had a total Hip replacement and work done on one knee and having the other done in December. Highly recommend Desert Orthopedic Specialists if you need a good Doctor.
Yesterday 12-22-22 I had appointment with Dr Fox and got to meet Jason, will miss John but after visiting with Jason throughout the appointment he is gonna fit right in as he was very professional with his work and very good with explaining everything and answering questions you may have had. My left shoulder was in excruciating pain when I met Jason at Desert Orthopedic. He was very through with my initial exam. He reviewed my X-ray and explained things in terms I could understand. He outlined care procedures and referred me to therapy after after an injection to ease the pain. I am still in therapy and my shoulder has improved. A month ago I had a hip replacement performed by Dr. Fox. I have no complaints at all about my surgery and the pain is a thing of the past. All my interactions with the staff were great and they are very personable. I would not hesitate to use them again.

I am a very active 70 year old who unfortunately tore my right shoulder rotator cuff twice during the past two years. I had surgery after the first tear, at another orthopedic doctor and was not satisfied with the results. I elected, based on a recommendation from a friend, to see Doctor Jonathan Fox at Desert Orthopedic Surgery following the second torn cuff.
Doctor Fox recommended reverse shoulder replacement surgery as an alternative to another rotator cuff repair surgery. It's been less than eight weeks since the operation and I couldn't be happier with the results!
I have virtually no pain in my right shoulder to the point I am back to my pre-surgery gym exercising routines and have the ability to sleep on my right side again. Truthfully, the full shoulder replacement surgery recommended by Doctor Fox was far less painful/impactful than the original rotator cuff surgery.
I cannot thank Doctor Fox, his wonderful assistant Jason and entire office staff enough for their expertise, professionalism and encouragement regarding this wonderful procedure! I Obviously encourage anyone reading this post to visit Doctor Fox and Desert Orthopedic Surgery for any issues you may have.

Since retiring to AZ 7 years ago I have seen Dr. Fox and his PA-C Jason Randall. My knee was a mess but Jason helped me delay surgery, due to my mother's longevity (105), until this June. Dr. Fox authorized physical therapy for 6 weeks prior to surgery to set me up for a good post-op experience. My physical therapist confirmed how beneficial prior PT is for a faster recovery. Dr. Fox and Jason are the perfect team making sure I understood what to expect both pre and post-op. I saw them both before and after on surgery day and luckily Dr. Fox decided I should stay overnight as I had an issue in the middle of the night that would have been challenging to deal with at home. They saw me the following morning before I was released as well as calling me at home. My physical therapist raved about how straight my leg came out. I had 2 setbacks due to a near fall/bad twist and Dr. Fox fit me into his schedule immediately for evaluation. He is an excellent surgeon, he is thorough, he listens and explains. Dr. Fox and Jason are the best and I look forward to an equal quality experience with my right knee in 2024.

Dr. Fox and Jason are one of the best provider teams I have experienced is awhile, very caring. I am overall a very healthy 62 year old and had left hip total replacement about 3 months ago. Dr. Fox takes the time to speak with you and explain the process, never feel rushed at all. The surgery was a great success and the recovery was better thank I expected and better than my brother in law's who had a total hip replacement 4 weeks prior to mine with a different provider. Jason is the PA and is very engaging and friendly and also takes the time to explain and listen. I am scheduled to have my other hip replaced in about a month and look forward to another great surgery and recovery, and to finally be out of pain.

In February, 2020, Dr Fox with Jason assisting. performed a full "reverse" shoulder replacement. Apparently I had do much damage, arthritis, bone spurs...,to my shoulder that this was the best option for me. It was explained to me throughly that until thay were actually observing the shoulder, they preferred making their finals decision on the procedure that was best for me. Well, it was nearly perfect in less than 4 months. I felt so well, I was ready to golf. However, that needed to wait for at least 6 months. Finally, I want to thank all of the Desert Orthopedic staff. but a huge shout out to Jason, CPA. He always goes above and beyond when I am for an appointment sure to listen, ask perfect questions, always smiling, gentle and kind, yet succinct and professional. Dr Fox is amazingly skilled. and will most likely perform a full knee, hip, and my other shoulder replacement in time. However it is Jason that will make me return to this particular office for my orthopedic needs.

Three months after total shoulder replacement! I am 90% back to normal.. no pain! Have a little work to do reaching behind my back but it will come! Thanks to Dr Fox and especially Jason who is a gem! He is encouraging, thoughtful and helps me believe soon I will be at 100%. Next, knee replacement.. 😳

Dr. Fox is the best orthopedic surgeon I've experienced ever. He did a total hip replacement on me in 2013 and I've had zero issues with it. He also repaired a torn tendon on the left hip 2 yrs ago and I've had zero issues with that. He is an expert at his craft! I would look no further than Dr. Fox for any ortho surgery.

Great office and staff. no wait time. the staff is very knowledgeable and put me at ease. John (PA) is great at what he does. He knew exactly what was wrong and explained to me what I should do to make my arm and shoulder feel better. I would recommend him to everyone that is having arm and shoulder pain.

I would like to personally thank Dr Fox, John Nelson and the entire professional staff at Desert Orthopedic Specialists for making my experience with my knee replacement surgery and follow up so stress-free. At this point after 4 months since the surgery I am very happy with the outcome and I'm looking forward did having my other knee replaced and feel very fortunate to have trusted them with such an important decision in my life.

I have been a patient of Desert Orthopedic Specialists for a number of years, including my wife, Sherry, in which they have completed hip and shoulder replacements on her. She is doing great today! I have also greatly benefited from the expertise and knowledge through DOS with my knees and joint issues. Recently I brought my 90-year old Mom into their office, she too has benefited from the great care extended from everyone in this office.
